NH HOTELES IS GOING TO OPEN A NEW FAST GOOD WITH ITS OWN SHOP IN MADRID

• The "Fast Good shop" with recipes for speedy, simple home cooking selected by Ferran Adrià is being set up

• The hotel company plans to open the new "Fast Good" in November

• This latest "Fast Good" opening in Spain will be located in the centre of Madrid, in Juan Bravo street, in one of the best shopping areas in the city

"Fast Good" (www.fast-good.com), the new cuisine culture created by NH Hoteles in collaboration with Ferran Adrià, is opening its second outlet in Madrid.

Following on the success of "Fast Good" in Spain and Chile, where the chain opened another outlet last March, NH Hoteles and Ferran Adrià have brought in new features for this new outlet in Madrid: the new "Fast Good" will be offering major new features such as "The Fast Good shop", a 50m² area that offers full solutions for customers wishing to eat at home. Customer may take home the ingredients of their favourite dishes and cook them themselves following Ferran Adrià's instructions.

"After spending a year and a half analysing the Fast Good business in Spain and in America, we have decided to bring a number of new features into the business and we now know we are ready for it to continue growing", says Ferran Adrià.

For his part Gabriele Burgio, the CEO of NH Hoteles, says that "we always felt that the idea was going to be a success but we wanted to do some more experimenting and we are now better prepared to offer an even better, healthier product and a service that is better suited to meet all the customers' needs. We also thought that there was something missing in our endeavour to create a new cuisine culture and that was to provide customers with home cooking solutions and to offer ways of how to prepare and suggest new combinations and ideas for every day".

NH Hoteles (www.nh-hotels.com) plans to open the new outlet right in the Salamanca district in Madrid in November. Specifically, "Fast Good" will be located in Juan Bravo street, on the corner with Lagasca street, in one of the most exclusive shopping and business districts in the Spanish capital.

"Fast Good" offers a menu that provides the very best in quality, be it of the product, the preparation or the service. Customers have a wide choice of natural juices, hamburgers, sandwiches, salads, coffees and chocolates, all designed by the famous Catalonian chef Ferran Adrià and served in originally, newly designed containers.

The atmosphere at the latest NH Hoteles "Fast Good" is keeping to the same space design and decoration as the first "Fast Good". The atmosphere at the new 440 m² premises is light-hearted as a result of the acid tonalities: apple green on the windows and fuchsia pink and sharp blue on the lamps and ceilings. A colour mix we find throughout the premises. "Fast Good" achieves an elegant, sophisticated look thanks to the dark wood on the tables the dark grey stone floor and the soft pearl-grey walls. "Fast Good" also provides a number of areas which make the whole set-up functional and dynamic. The area is made up of areas with high bars for customers in a hurry and areas with tables which can be brought together for slightly longer, more relaxed meals. Finally, the premises have a large terrace area to enjoy the "Fast Good" products whenever the weather so allows.

The new "Fast Good's" opening hours will be from 12:00 am to 12:00 pm without a break and from 12:00 am to 01:00 am on weekends.

FERRAN ADRIÀ

Since he started working when he was 18, quite by chance, as a kitchen help in a small hotel, he has been constantly rising up to the heights of world cuisine. In 1984 he was already the Head Chef at the Bulli restaurant. Since then he has, together with Julio Soler, the restaurant's manager at the time, undertaken to create and develop a type of cuisine quite unlike anything previous known. They spend 1985, 1986, 1987 and 1988 developing a genuinely new Style of Cuisine. In 1995 they set up their catering headquarters in Barcelona, El Bulli Catering, which raised the levels of quality and prestige for service at Receptions and Dinners to unbeatable levels. The Madrid Casino is the best centre of El Bulli Catering in the capital.

Ferran Adrià, who advises major quality brands, tenaciously and enthusiastically, breaking with tradition and calculating, always throws himself into every new project in which he collaborates, as a result of which the combination of his image with the new ventures always leads to spectacular results. The centre of his activity is based in Barcelona: The Bulli Taller, headed by Albert Adrià. All the projects originally start out in the workshop (Bulli Taller), which is mainly used for creating and testing; searching out new ideas, techniques and recipes for every season.

Ferran Adrià is one of the greatest exponents of cuisine in the world, and is top rated in restaurant guides, has won prizes and a long list of acknowledgements such as "El Bulli Flavour of the Mediterranean". "The Secrets of El Bulli", "El Bulli Desserts" by Albert Adrià, etc. Top journalists have also written articles about Ferran.
