A complete reform of the Riu Mónica in Nerja (Málaga)
The autumn renovation work includes the complete refurbishment of all the guestrooms and the addition of a gymnasium and an indoor pool.
Renovation work on the Riu Mónica, a 4-star establishment in Nerja (Malaga), will begin in October and the hotel shall re-open its doors in February 2006, according to the chain's modernisation plans. The hotel, which is located on the beachfront, has 257 rooms that will be completely renovated and modernised. Furthermore, a new poolside bar, lavatories next to the pool and the reception area, a new indoor swimming pool and a gymnasium for its guests' pleasure will be built during the reform work. The new Riu Mónica will open its doors with a newly decorated entrance hall and a car park for its clients. RIU Hotels has 9 establishments in Andalusia, 6 of which are in Malaga. The tenth hotel in Andalusia and seventh in Malaga will open its doors to the public on June 8: the Riu Puerto Marina Benalmádena. The chain has a total of 110 hotels in 15 countries with 16,000 employees.
