RIU debuts Japanese cuisine nights

The Riu Grand Palace Maspalomas Oasis in Gran Canaria has engaged an oriental chef for its new specialities.

Yao Xuan, who was born in China in 1959, has been a chef in Gran Canaria for 15 years.  He is the RIU chain's latest "culinary acquisition", so that its select 5-star Riu Grand Palace Maspalomas Oasis in Gran Canaria can offer Japanese specialities from March on.

Japanese cuisine is the rage all over Europe and many guests appreciate its fine specialities.  That is why RIU has decided to expand Grand Palace's culinary offer, so that its varied international cuisine and Spanish cuisine nights include delicious oriental delicacies four nights a week at the expert hand of its flamboyant Chinese chef.

This is just one more innovation at the Grand Palace, a 5-star hotel
famous in Europe for its splendid location on the beachfront next to the Maspalomas dune nature park and encompassing a lush sub-tropical garden with 2000 palm trees on its premises: the oasis that lends its name to the hotel.

In the past two years, the hotel has renovated its installations,
incorporated spa and wellness services, extended its sports offer and added special attentions for golf and tennis players.  And now, the oriental touch joins the hotel's luxuries, which combine the utmost in comfort with first-class service.

>Riu Maspalomas Oasis is the only RIU hotel that boasts the "Grand Palace" denomination.  The establishment was acquired by the chain in November 1997.
