The number of people who attended the afternoon of the second day of the 3rd International Gastronomy Conference Madrid Fusión was about the same as in the morning.
After the meal, which was presented by Tenerife City Council, three cooks appeared throughout the afternoon: Pichet Ong, the self-instructed confectionary maestro from New York; Yukio Hattori, a major figure in Japanese cuisine; and the two representatives of gastronomy from the Island of Mauritius: Stefano Fontanesi and Antoine Heraah.
In the morning a tribute was paid in the form of an Award, to haut cuisine, to “Alcotec" technology and to Emilio Gómez-Calcerrada, inventor of the "Catavin", which is an incredible device for enological education for those who resist the temptation of fully entering the world of wine. The prizes for the cocktail competition were also awarded yesterday: the first prize was presented to Emilio Vivanco, followed by Israel Gómez Moreno.
Judgements were also made for the “BEST WINES IN THE WORLD AT THE BEST PRICE” Competition, the BMW Award, “Best Wine for less than 30 Euros”.
