Emmi to remain main sponsor of Emmi CAFFÈ LATTE Aprilia Racing
- Emmi will continue its commitment as the main sponsor of the Emmi Caffè Latte Aprilia Racing Team with Tom Lüthi during the 2009 season. Both parties signed a contract today for their partnership over the next year. Emmi has been the team’s main sponsor since the 2006 season, and in its fourth year of collaboration, the team is concentrating exclusively on Tom Lüthi and the official Aprilia Factory Team. Following a three-year collaboration with the Emmi Caffè Latte Aprilia Racing Team, Emmi will continue its commitment as the team’s main sponsor during the coming season. For the 2009 season the Emmi Caffè Latte Aprilia Racing Team is focussing on Tom Lüthi in the 250 class with the Aprilia factory bike. Tom Lüthi will continue to benefit from both the best possible equipment and the know-how of the Aprilia Racing Department. Following a three-year period, the German rider Sandro Cortese is now joining a new team. The move is however in no way connected with his performance, which has improved considerably in the last few months in particular, and he has done very well indeed. Following a 2008 season of mixed fortunes for Tom Lüthi with two podium places (2nd in Assen and 3rd in Mugello) and other Top 5 rankings, Emmi and the team managers are hoping for further improvement next year. "We believe that Tom Lüthi is excellently positioned to progress further next year," said Erich Kienle, Head of Marketing at Emmi. Following the first few races, the Emmi Caffè Latte Aprilia Racing Team is aiming to be among the Top 6. "The collaboration with Emmi is grounded in trust, solidarity and professionalism. Together we aim to beat the rest of the world in 2009", says team manager Daniel M. Epp.
